Work Weekends 2025

The first group of men and women went up a couple weeks before work weekend.  They removed lots of trees & brush along the back of Lodge and Lot. They also replaced the little
bridge crossing the drainage along the lot for a safer passage to waterfall/creek behind the Lodge.  One day we hope to establish a sitting area for spring/summer/fall guest to relax in.  They also Painted/stained
the cupola.

The second group of 6 volunteers went up over Columbus Day weekend. A lot of painting and staining was achieved.  The stairway up to 2nd floor, foyer, exterior of entrance door, windows and siding, half of the 2nd floor outside siding of Honeymoon Suite, Great Room wall behind kitchen, half bath trim and some kitchen trim were painted. 2 exterior benches were cleaned and stained. The kitchen cabinets were thoroughly cleaned, and all of carpets on 2nd floor, stairway, and area rugs were steam cleaned. The curtains were also cleaned.

The last of the original sheetrock in Great Room, opposite kitchen, was replaced, primed & painted. The door of the Midnight Special was replaced so that it now swings inward. There were multiple runs to transfer station and the cycling bins were washed and sterilized.  300lbs of stone were added to front entrance at doorway. One of the bigger tasks was the replacement of cedar siding/shakes and all the trim at front side of building of Mountain View.
